Artist Note - "As I get deeper into the Special Edition (POP ART) series, I'm finding myself pulling from notable women (real or imagined in popular culture) who I have admired. In the case of Emma Peel (played by the late, great Dianna Rigg from Game Of Thrones), she was one of the women I lost my heart to growing up - she was beautiful, sexy, playful - all the while, mysterious, dangerous, and not to be messed with. Long before Marvel took the name and long before there was BLACK WIDOW, there was the British AVENGERS - and MRS. EMMA PEEL - and as 1/2 of the crime fighting team, she was unbelievably wonderful. I was surprised working on this how my heart skipped a beat and I fell in love with her all over again. I think fondly of that show (and the cool opening) and am glad to have been able to immortalize her!"
